Meet Arohika
Nature inspired artist creating calm, meaningful art for your home.
Artwork to complement beauty of your home
I create art to bring a sense of calm, beauty and meaning into everyday spaces. My work is inspired by the colors of nature, quiet moments of nostalgia and the stories we carry within us. I love soft layers, gentle movement and light that feels like early morning or the last glow before sunset.
My paintings and prints are made to live with you, not just on a screen. I imagine them in real rooms, above a sofa, next to a bed or in an entryway where they can welcome you home. Each piece is crafted to invite you to pause, breathe and feel a little more grounded whenever you see it. I paint from my home studio in Bothell, Washington, working in acrylics, mixed media and oils on canvas and paper.

About me
Hi, I am Arohika, the artist behind the work you see here. In a world that often feels too loud and fast, painting is my way to slow down and listen to the quiet wisdom within. My abstract paintings are inspired by big moments, like standing at the edge of a mountain with the world stretching out below, and small ones, like watching a single raindrop trace its path down a window. They are my way of noticing the beauty in the cracks and the hope that still blooms in difficult seasons.
My process is a dance between control and letting go. I build each piece in layers of fluid paint, letting colors drift and blend like shifting emotions. Some marks are bold and confident, speaking to strength and courage. Others are soft and delicate, tracing the contours of vulnerability and resilience. Beneath the looseness there is always a quiet structure, a rhythm in the brushstrokes that guides the chaos into harmony.
There is a moment when the painting feels complete, when it begins to speak back. That is when I step away and see it as you might see it, as a place to rest your eyes and your heart. My hope is that when you live with one of my pieces, your worries soften, your breathing slows, and you feel a little more rooted in yourself and at peace in your home.
