Fernweh

There’s something about arriving in the new cities, wandering empty streets with no destination. I will never lose the love for arriving, but I’m born to leave –
Charlotte Erikson

The longing in my heart to explore new horizons, travel to unseen places is strong. In German there is a word that sums up this feeling beautifully in one word Fernweh.

Taking the unexplored roads, witnessing new horizons, breathing in the air filled with fragrance of green meadows, having quiet picnics under the sky, listening to the bird songs are the moments that have inspired this collection “Fernweh”.

I combined my own travel memories and imagination while creating these landscapes. I started the painting using my photographs as a reference and eventually let my feelings and intuition guide how each piece evolved with layers of paints, colors and textures.

Fernweh isn’t just about the unexplored location but it is also about pushing the boundaries and giving myself permission to trust my instincts and move forward through the fear of the unknown.

After a difficult year it’s time for all of us to embark on new adventures with our family and friends; soak in the visual beauty and stunning diversity of nature.
This collection is infused with a sense of peace, beauty, light and gentle curiosity conveyed through abundant countryside and beautiful sunlit horizons. It’s always an honor when you connect with my paintings and welcome them in your homes.

My wish for you is to have your home and life filled with love, abundance and light .

Thank you for being here and supporting my work as always.
